Mars For Fun

Here are photos of the New York Times Photographic Visit to Mars. The Times CyberTimes column Hyperwocky written by Lisa Napoli made a fun visit to Mars the same week the NASA Pathfinder Mission was exploring the Planet Mars. Using a red wagon equipped with a home camcorder we visited some of the sites of Mars along with a photographer dispatched by the Times.

Making ready for the Big Tour with Sally Hallock and Laurie Grady along with photographer for the NY Times.

The intrepid explorers head down Pittsburgh Street toward Grand Ave.

The Mars park and flying saucer come into view, more than Roswell can show.

Stopping to examine this piece of extraterrestrial hardware.

Jim Lasher shows of an authentic 100 year old Mars Brick, wait until we put the Alpha Proton X-ray Spectrometer on that!

A visit to the Post Office. Is getting your picture taken in a space ship really Official Business?

The 100 year old Mars Train station gets photographed and video taped on this visit down Marshall Way.

Last stop is the Mars fire station where we were greeted by some alien looking people.
